Writers' Block

I have the urge to write. As bundle of words unfold in my mind, choosing the right word to make THAT perfect sentence is nothing less than a herculean task. My room is lit with the incandescent lighting amidst the darkest of nights. Serenity is all around. If you listen closely, you can perhaps hear the sound of the rain drops hitting the concrete floor of the balcony.

Tranquility does not offer the right atmosphere to write. These quietest moments leaves you listening to your heart that speaks a thousand words. All these thousand words travel with a speed that is faster than the speed of light (my incandescent lighting, Of Course!). This is the state of my mind as my fingers offer the softest touch sweeping across the keys of this laptop.

It is hard to form a sentence as questions formulate my whole thinking process. Being the Renaissance that I am, I fail to answer my questions with answers, ever so, trying to question them back. I might even question the blackness of night at 12 A.M and that around 3 A.M.

It is not the calm that drives you to think and write, but, the idea is generated by observing and recreating a subject into myriads of form. It is rather wise to be among the crowd to stimulate the right pattern/subject to write about; to concentrate on the subject while being disconnect from any part of the environment which is not the subject. This prevents the thought inundation.

What is that point when the writer’s block gets unblocked? I think it is the point when you put the pen to paper/ first alphabet typed by you after opening your word document. The key here is not to erase the initial few lines, scribbling away the flow non-stop. This does not assure you a meaningful article especially at this hour when I am more worried about when will the sand-man strike me.

This is your space. Your world. You are the Queen. You have to give democracy to your fingers. They will dance to the tune of your thoughts. Thoughts of your own imagination and meaning. This is as close as you reflect your mind, i mean writing.

Keep it going.
