The Remaining 5 Finally!

Now we continue further on the communication topic to explore the next 5 things. I have been basically talking about one-to-one communication or personal communication, though the concept is applicable in public speaking or presentation.

One of the aspects in a personal communication is the choice of topic. Do not bank on a topic that you are expert with and the other person has no clue. Find a ground where you can both exchange ideas and thoughts or find the topic that interests the other person too; even though you may be an expert.

Do not use bombastic words while communicating. Thoughts are already complex, using inflated words to explain them does not lead to actual exchange of ideas (which is all communication is about). One does not need to be brilliant to communicate just effective and receptive.

Be a good listener. Period, theres no explanation on this. LISTEN.

Communication is also about assertiveness, it is expressing your feelings and ideas. The important aspect of communication is the ability to say NO. Learn to say NO but never aggressively.

Last but not the least, communication is an empirical process and learning from mistakes is inevitable part of the whole process. You mature as you attempt and hone. So, Keep Enjoying!
